BOLDR’s Expedition Watch Is Ready for Action
No strangers to Kickstarter-ing their rough and ready timepieces, BOLDR have unveiled their latest watch to get the crowd-funding treatment. It’s called the Expedition and the Swiss automatic field watch is being branded as ‘a tough companion to navigate your life’s adventures and explorations.’
The BOLDR Expedition automatic field watch is a military-inspired design, which has some of the key features that made the field watch a tactical timepiece. With its form dating back to World War II, the Expedition comes in a 316L stainless steel machined case rated up to 20ATM.
With dual screw-down crowns to adjust the time/date and the inner crown bezel, the new BOLDR can be used for countdowns as well as a compass. The Expedition is powered by an automatic Sellita SW200-1 movement, featuring a hacking seconds hand, supported by diashock to keep it ticking no matter what the mission.
As a field watch, the Expedition is made to be warn. It features a high-contrast display that allows for quick time-telling and if night time excursions are your thing, the Expedition has you covered with Swiss ‘superluminova’ hour markers which glow in low-light. The lens on the watch is made from double domed sapphire crystal, with AR (anti-reflective) coating too.
The BOLDR Expedition Watches is being funded over at Kickstarter, where with over a week to go, it’s already smashed it target. Head over to the BOLDR Kickstarter Website now where you can get hold of one of the 6 BOLDR designs for around £300. Deliveries are expected in May 2018.
