#ChristmasJumperDay – Best Christmas Jumpers 2017
Ahead of Save the Children’s #ChristmasJumperDay this Friday (15th December), we thought we’d give our readers some inspiration. Many may sneer at them, but festive jumpers are usually warm and snug, and it’s one of rare occasions you can dress like a child without anyone batting an eyelid. So here’s some of favourite Christmas jumpers for 2017.
Where: Tee Spring
Merry Christmas from the Upside Down! Yes, Netflix’s hit show Stranger Things is the inspiration behind this masterpiece from Tee Spring. Featuring the festive lights used to communicate with Will while he was hiding from the Demogorgon, the Stranger Christmas sweatshirt is a limited print and the jumper is selling quickly, so we’d suggest you get ordering ASAP!
John Lewis Christmas Charity Reindeer Jumper
Where: John Lewis
John Lewis has managed to intertwine itself with the festive period like no other shop. To illustrate the point, each year they produce a Christmas jumper in partnership with Barnado’s charity. £10 from the sale of each Christmas Charity Reindeer jumper will go straight to the charity, who care for some of the UK’s most vulnerable children and young people. This year’s jumper is intricately crafted from a soft, lightweight and stretchy merino blend, creating a classic crew neckline and long sleeve style jumper with a knitted reindeer pattern embellishment on the chest.
Jerry Christmas Jumper
A Jerry Christmas to one and all. This high-quality jumper features a motif of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn as well as the Labour rose on reverse. The jumper has been made using the latest hi-tech knitting machines, taking 45 minutes to weave the front and back sections, while all sleeves are cut by hand. 50% of profits from the Jerry Christmas Jumper will also be donated directly to Save The Children by makers notjust!
Plum Christmas Jumper
Where: The London Knitwear Company
If knitted patterns aren’t your style Christmas morning, then you’d be forgiven for thinking there’s not a Christmas jumper out there for you. But fear not and think outside the box. Something like this slogan Plum-coloured top from The London Knitwear Company is much more subtle, arguably more comfortable, and will still keep things nice and festive!
Star Wars X-Wing Christmas Jumper
Pulling off a successful Christmas jumper can sometimes feel like the Battle of Yavin, but we say go the full hog and always be true to yourself… With that in mind, geeks out there – how about this Star Wars X-Wing Christmas jumper? Yes, to celebrate the release of the Last Jedi this week, take on the Tie Fighters and the Death Stars of Christmas with this warm and cosy festive sweater.
Oversized Dinosaur Jumper
Where: Natural History Museum
Another one for the big kids, we loved this oversized cosy dinosaur number co-designed by the Natural History Museum and Worn-By. The jumper has a baggy fit – perfect for both Joes and Janes – and features a traditional Nordic pattern with a prehistoric twist.
Joules Snowflake Knit Jumper
Where: John Lewis
But perhaps our favourite Christmas jumper around this year comes from UK premium lifestyle brand Joules. Exclusively available at John Lewis, the eye-catching snowflake design knitted jumper is crafted from a soft lambswool mix and features a classic crew neck, long sleeves and a ribbed hem and sleeve for touch of added detailing. We think it’s ideal if you’re being forced to wear a jumper to an office party but still want to look your best!
