If you’re in the market for a high end timepiece, or simply just like to dream of ever owning one, Dior had added another beauty to its line of Chiffre Rouge watches. Joes, meet the C05, a luxury timepiece limited to 100 pieces.
The Dior C05 is housed inside a stainless steel 38mm case and possesses a Zenith-sourced caliber Elite 682 with 26 jewels (beating at 28,800 vph), which has a power reserve of 50 hours. The C05 also brings something new to the Chiffre Rouge range with a second time zone whose hand is adjusted by simply pressing on the pushbutton.
Other updates include the date appearing in Red in a window at 3 ‘o’clock and a small second now in its very own dial at 9 ‘o’clock. With a widened face and slightly slimmer watchcase, the timepiece retains its original asymmetric style thanks to the pushbutton at 10 ‘o’clock. All of this rests on a perforated Black leather strap.
Chiffre Rouge is the embodiment of Dior’s high end male luxury. It was created in 2004, where it immediately established itself as the one of the House benchmarks. The name with its intertwined letters is like a coat of arms, a symbol belonging to the Dior family.
We love the asymmetric design of the C05 with its alternating colours of Black and Red and if you’re drooling at the idea of wearing one of these delicate beauties, you should be prepared to fork out over the best part of £5,000. Best get saving!
