Autumn will some be upon us, and no garment will need changing up more than your footwear. While Dr. Martens undoubtedly offer unrivalled resistance to the elements, for many of us Joes, they’re just too cumbersome to be comfortable. Well DM have come up with an answer with their brand new Lite Collection.
The DM Lite Collection is all about offering Joes (and Janes) who like the look and need the sturdiness of Dr. Martens but want more comfort exactly that. To achieve in, the iconic brand have donned some of their most recognisable models in a soft yet durable Carpathian or Temperley leathers.
They’ve also added a lightweight phylon midsole and tough flexible rubber outsole which maximise durability and comfort, while providing a look that is reminiscent of DM’s original icons. Each pair also comes with a SoftWair memory foam insole with moisture-wicking technology for ultimate all-day comfort.
Our favourite in the Lite Collection is the Newton. It’s got all the same attitude of the 1460—but with a new style. The original 8-eye boot’s essential DNA remains but is a sleeker silhouette and weighs about a third of the weight.
We also like the Cavendish, a 3-eye unisex shoe made with a lightweight, phylon midsole, and a slimline rubber outsole with good abrasion and slip resistance. It’s also made with Temperley Leather; a lightweight, full-grain leather, with a soft feel.
The Dr. Martens Lite Collection is now available over at the Dr. Martens Website where prices start from £95.
