Coinciding with the change in season, one of our favourite recent UK brands have just dropped their latest lookbook. Stating that Autumn “is our season”, Cornwall’s Finisterre have quickly built a stellar reputation for providing UK surfers with environmentally-friendly waterproofing and knitwear all year round. And that looks set to continue as we stagger into the cooler months.
Built for those who share a love of the sea, Finisterre’s latest collection sees a range of standout outerwear and knitwear paired with tees, trousers and accessories to create arguably our favourite range of the season, with key men’s pieces including the Koerner Shirt, Furlong Sweater, Nebulas Jacket and Alga Jeans.
The Koerner is a hardy organic cotton shirt designed with utility details such as the button down pockets and reinforced stitching. Featuring a contemporary fit and a touch of stretch, the Koerner hits that sweet spot between style and substance, and is both comfortable and practical enough for a full day of adventures.
Elsewhere the Furlong sweater is made from a premium 100% Merino wool yarn for extra softness and warmth, while Finisterre’s warmest insulated jacket, the Nebulas uses Engineered Insulation C-form fill to combine the look of down with the performance of 100% recycled polyester. Naturally is has a fluorocarbon-free water repellent finish.
The Alga may seem like a simple pair of jeans but it’s packed with real attention to detail. The straight fit jean is made from a premium 12oz organic cotton denim with workwear influenced rear pockets, full reinforcement and a signature warm touch coated button.
There’s also a range of graphics tees and thick shirts in the collection, as well as some standout jackets, such as the Borealis Waterproof and the vibrant Mistral and Woodward jackets. On the accessory side of things, expect everything from caps and beanies, to socks and backpacks.
The Finisterre Autumn 2019 collection is available now over at the Finisterre Website.
Continuing to embrace its near 100 year hardwearing heritage, Dickies announced their AW19 range last week, introducing an original collection of durable workwear apparel and accessories with the cooler seasons in mind.
