Fracap Autumn/Winter 2015
Winter is coming and there’s not a chance in hell we’re going to be scuffing up our beautifully crisp White trainers in the rain and snow. Which means we’re going to need something a little sturdier in the form of a solid boot. If you’re having similar worries, check out the Autumn/Winter collection for 2015 by Italian boot-makers Fracap.
Fracap were founded over a century ago in 1908 by Alfredo and Giovanni Capello, who landed into shoe-making after following in their father’s footsteps. Fracap started out as an outerwear supplier for hikers and skiers with durable and warm footwear but has since gone on to be one of the big hitters in boot-making.
The brand’s shoe-making has been perfected in the same original factory since its inception. This localised craftsmanship has resulted in the brand’s two most iconic styles – the M120 and the M127.
For AW15, Fracap have utilised a variety of exotic leathers while still using some premium Italian materials found a little closer to home. The two icons, M120 and M127, have been given a workover with hard wearing Vibram sole units as well as their signature Ripple design.
Still maintaining the age-old goodyear welt construction technique, Fracap have gone to town with their uppers. In the collection, you’ll find everything from smooth and tough vegetable tanned leather to supple and suede. There’s even the use of unmistakable ostrich leather.
We love Fracap and the Autumn/Winter 2015 collection was never really going to disappoint. The boots are being sold at End Clothing with prices ranging from £199 for a pair of the M120s to £209 for a pair of the M127s.
