Take a Look at the Game of Thrones x adidas UltraBOOST Collection
This week adidas have been celebrating their pioneering UltraBOOST trainer with a whole load of relaunches and new colourways. So we thought we’d get involved with BOOST Week by telling you everything you need to know about the Game of Thrones UltraBOOST collection which is slated to arrive in April 2019.
Utilising the Three Stripe’s much-loved UltraBOOST model, images of the Game of Thrones x adidas UltraBOOST have been doing the rounds over the last couple of weeks. Nothing is official but what we do know is that each trainer features a Primeknit upper and BOOST midsole alongside GoT-printed insoles, heel tabs with House monikers and tongues which bear House logos.
So far we have photographic evidence of three version. The ‘House Lannister’ UltraBOOST features a bright red Primeknit upper accented by metallic gold speckling. The regal look of the upper is continued on the Three Stripes branded cage overlay and contrasting black heel counter. The heel tag sports the Lannister “HEAR ME ROAR” motto.
On the ‘House Targareyn Dragons’ colourway, a red and black Primeknit upper represents Daenerys’ dragons and their fire breathing, while the Targaryen dragon crest can be seen on the tongue and the heel tab is captioned “FIRE AND BLOOD.”
There’s also a ‘White Walkers’ version which comes in an icy blue colourway on the heel counter, toe cap and TPU cage. As well as some contrasting black details on the tongue tab, lace caps and on the heel tab, there also some “WHITE WALKERS” and “WINTER IS HERE” motifs on the lace aglets and heel tab.
The Game of Thrones x adidas UltraBOOST collection is set to arrive in April 2019 when the show’s eight and final season is expected to hit HBO. It’s strongly rumoured there’ll also be house silhouettes for the Starks and the Night’s Watch. Keep an eye on the adidas Website.
Earlier this week, adidas Originals unveiled their fourth footwear collaboration with Man Utd FC to commemorate 140 years of the club. Take a look at the new ‘Newton Heath’ silhouette.
