Hublot Unveil Smart ‘Big Bang Referee’ Watch for World Cup 2018
With the World Cup now less than a month away, it’s time you started to think about how you’re going to stay up to date with all the scores – especially when you’re at work and phones are out of bounds. And what better way than a smart watch that will instantly send you notifications? Feast your eyes on the Hublot Big Bang Referee timepiece.
Designed to be worn by FIFA referees during the World Cup, the Hublot Big Bang Referee watch is a unique edition that has all the attributes of the iconic Big Bang – such as a gorgeous polished and satin-finished titanium case and bezel – alongside applications specially developed for the competition.
Wearers of the Big Bang Referee will receive notifications throughout the tournament. As well as announcing matches 15 minutes before kick-off, the timepiece will also send you yellow and red cards updates, substitutions and, of course, goals with vibrations. You can also get other match stats during the game.
But the watch is not only for fans. For the first time, referees will be wearing the Big Bang Referee watch with its smart technology imagined by Hublot. The referees’ watches will obvious feature a stop watch and will also be connected to goal-line technology, which hopefully should get rid of controversy.
As well as offering 32 dials inspired by the flags of the participating countries (and two neutral dials), the 49mm watch is available in analogue or digital versions. It also comes with two patented interchangeable ‘One Click’ straps.
Limited to 2018 pieces, the Hublot Big Bang Referee timepiece is available now from Hublot sales outlets, where it’ll set you back £4,300. Head over to the Hublot Website for more details.
