Hublot Classic Fusion Chrono Black Ceramic
For the third year running, Hublot have been chosen as the Official Timekeeper for the Bol d’Or Mirabaud 2015, the world’s largest regatta on a closed basin. The race links the two ends of stunning Lake Geneva from Geneva to Le Bouveret. To celebrate, Hublot have released the limited edition Classic Fusion Chrono Black Ceramic. And it is a beauty.
Hublot has limited the new sport-chic version of the Classic Fusion Chronograph to just 77 pieces. So they do mean limited edition! It features a dial, bezel and strap in carbon fibre, a high-tech material particularly favoured by sportspeople, known for its lightness, impact resistance and instantly recognisable design.
The case of this Classic Fusion is made from ceramic, and the strap from carbon fibre sewn onto blue rubber. The use of carbon fibre, ceramic and rubber embodies the principle of the Art of Fusion which has been so integral to Hublot over the years.
The two chronograph counters in the Classic Fusion are in deep midnight blue, matching the colour of the bezel and the strap stitching, which reflects the blue of Lake Geneva, home to the Bol d’Or Mirabaud.
The Bol d’Or Mirabaud is 66.5 miles long and this year saw more than 500 boats and 2500 crew members take their place at the starting line for a spectacular start to the race, which each year brings together professional yachtsmen and amateurs, as well as 100 volunteers and 20 boats from the Société Nautique de Genève to manage the competing multihulls and monohulls.
