Kenneth Cole Smartwatch
Like many before them this season, American designer brand Kenneth Cole has branched out into technology, launching a range of smartwatches for Joes.
They’ve called it the ‘Connect’ range, and it’s made in partnership with the Geneva Watch Group. The collection comprises of 12 styles which come in a variety of sizes, materials and colourways. There’s a mix of leather, plastic and metal designs in the range with a palette consisting of Whites, Golds, Blacks and Greys so they’re keeping things nice and neutral.
Being a smartwatch it naturally, and pretty importantly, has smartphone connectivity. But only Android users will feel the benefit so far as they smartwatch isn’t compatible with iOS yet.
When synced, Joes can use the watch for a range of usual alerts, like incoming calls, messages and e-mails, but it’ll also give you low battery notifications and even an alert when you leave the house without your phone. We’re not sure how often that really happen but it’s still a nice idea. You can also control music playing on smartphone.
One of the main selling points for some, although not necessarily us, is the smartwatches selfie mode, which allows users to take a photo on their phone by pushing a button on the side of the watch. I suppose anything that makes a selfie stick redundant can’t be a bad thing!
While the selfie mode might not sell it to us, the look of it does. It’s cool and contemporary, and we love the Connect Blue Case especially. Crafted with a rubber-sprayed case and stainless steel bezel, it’s finished with a negative display dial. The 47mm stainless steel case possesses a blue rubber coating and comes with a black silicone strap with a leather insert.
The Kenneth Cole Connect range, which also has a range for Janes, is available now from the Kenneth Cole Website with prices starting at around £80-90.
