Le Coq Sportif Omega
With adidas and Nike making all the headlines, you might not have noticed that Le Coq Sportif has been on its game this year – particularly when it comes to delving into their archives. And they’ve saved their best for last with an update to the 80’s classic Omega.
While the French giants will be synonymous with cycling for most Joes, running has also long been another one of the brand’s main sports. Due for release in early 2016, the Le Coq Sportif Omegas were originally released in the early 80s and pay homage to the early days of Le Coq running shoes.
The shoe comes with options of two colourways; the first combines tones of off-White with accents of Red on the heel and side branding. The second colourway comes with a Cream panel sat under dark Blue overlays and a Grey heel panel.
Cream is also seen on the heel and side logo, with pops of Maroon on the branding. Like a lot of retro running trainers, both Omegas feature plenty of bold colouring so even the predominantly White midsoles see Black, Maroon and Red/Navy detailing, respectively.
The release of the two Omega colourways will also be accompanied by two other Le Coq classic silhouettes, the Eclat and Wendon. Both of which combine dark Blue uppers with White and Maroon accents.
The Le Coq Sportif OG Running Pack with the Omega trainers are set to drop at some point in January. We’ll keep you updated but keep an eye on the Le Coq Sportif Website for more news in the coming weeks.
