Longines Avigation Oversize Crown

Taking inspiration from their pilots watches of the 1920’s, Longines have release a small range of Avigation watches with oversized crowns. The distinctive onion-like crowns are set on an elongated stem, originally intended to make the watch easier to operate with flying gloves.
The timepieces are moderately sized measuring 41mm in diameter each coming with silver numbers contrasting to the black dials, and white date window. The hands on all of the oversize crown models are gilded, and these details are framed by a fluted bidirectional bezel akin to that on the original models.
The three available models are the Longines Time Only, the GMT and the Monopusher Chronograph, with increasingly refined movements installed in the three models, and a pricing structure in place which reflects this with the entry level retailing at around the £1500 mark, and going up to around the £2500 mark for the Longines Avigation Monopusher chronograph.
