Men’s Crew Neck Sweater Edit: Spring 2019
You don’t need to be a fashionista to know that at this time of year, it’s all about layers. But with spring just around the corner and winter jackets going to the back of the cupboard, it’s time to treat yourself to a new piece of outerwear; the crew neck jumper. So from stripes to block staples, here’s our favourite Men’s Crewneck Sweaters for springtime 2019.
Norse Projects Vagn Classic Crew
Website: Norse Projects
Like jackets, the right crew can be worn multiple times before anyone will take too much notice. Which is why one of the best things you can do this season is bag yourself a single coloured staple crew. The Scandinavians do the cooler seasons better than anyone and we love this Vagn style from Norse Projects. Available in multiple colours, it features a ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, and is finished with minimal stitching details for a clean finish.
Available in Dark Navy, Light Grey Melange, Eggplant Brown, Oxide Orange, Ritteri Purple, Askja Red, Ivy Green, Quartz Green and Black
Ted Baker SPEARS Colour-Block Cotton Jumper
Website: Ted Baker
Block-panel sweaters will once again be at the forefront this season and we’d go for something like this SPEARS jumper from Ted Baker. Not only does it add some much-welcomed colour for the season, the cotton style adds some texture and sophistication to your look.
Available in Yellow or Purple
Surf Perimeters ‘The Dual’ Organic Raglan Crew
Website: Surf Perimeters
They may be a relatively new label on the scene, but surfing-inspired Surf Perimeters are offering up arguably our favourite crewneck jumper of the season in ‘The Dual’. Coming in a raglan style, the athletic sweater is designed for a relaxed, easy-going look without compromising on style, substance or what S/P call ‘saltwater spirit’. Made out of organic cotton yarns and dyed using organic, environmentally friendly processes, the two-colourway Dual comes with herringbone neck tape, raglan sleeves, cross-stitch detailing below the front neck, and a brushbacked fleece finish inside.
Available in Glacier Grey and Navy
Patagonia Men’s P-6 Label Uprisal Crew Sweatshirt
Another staple option, take a look at the Men’s P-6 Label Uprisal Crew Sweatshirt from Patagonia. This 95% recycled crew sweatshirt is made using 10.8 plastic bottles and .6 pounds of cotton scrap, saving 143 gallons of water versus a conventional cotton sweatshirt. The champion-weight fabric features a soft brushed back for a classic heavyweight feel, while the classic crewneck pullover has a modern fit with just enough stretch. The brand have long been one of our favourite menswear labels period and we think the P-6 is a bargain.
Available in Classic Navy, Gravel Heather (Grey), Nomad Green, and Break Up Blue
J.Crew Always Cotton Cable-Knit Crewneck Sweater
Cable-knit is never going to be for everyone, but we think it’s a great option in the spring – especially during the daytime. With that in mind, we like this Always Cotton Crewneck from J.Crew. Perfect for those Joes who like a bit of vibrancy in their wardrobe, this classic jumper uses the same chunky cable stitch that once kept sailors warm on stormy seas, but is still light enough for spring and ideal for layering.
Available in Bright Baltic (Blue), HTHR Natural (Cream), and Varsity Orange
66°North 1926 Crew Neck Sweater
Hailing from Iceland, 66°North know all about keeping warm, which is why this 1926 Sweater should be on your radar. As comfortable as it is stylish, this classic fit crew is made from classic fleece, with the fluffy side on the interior. The tonal logo is made from the same fabric but with the other side of it facing out.
