Moncler Gamme Bleu SS16
This spring/summer 2016, Moncler have given the design reigns to American designer Thom Browne for their Gamme Bleu collection. Rowing is the theme for a range which combines Moncler’s prowess in sportswear and outerwear and Browne’s expertise in hand-made tailoring.
The Gamme Bleu SS16 collection continues Moncler’s traditional collegiate styles with garments that were reworked with the Ivy League regatta championships in mind. As such, the range features the likes of lightweight summer wool in cardigans and sweaters; cotton in Oxford shirts; and down-padded jackets.
Preppy Red/White/Blue detailing features throughout the collection, showcasing Browne’s influence with the iconic grosgrain trimmings. Our favourite in the collection is the Tri-Colour Bonded Hoody. Constructed from 100% cotton, the hoody features the signature colourway pattern across the body and logo patch to the upper sleeve.
For something warm as we see our way through winter, the Tricolour Tipped Cardigan has been knitted from a premium cotton and finished with engraved brass press studs and tipped edging. We also love the preppy aesthetic on the Tipped Down Jacket. Cut with a shorter silhouette for the spring months, the jacket still maintains Moncler’s signature premium down padding to ensure protection from the elements.
We love Thom Browne’s Gamme Bleu collection for Moncler. It’s a perfect blend of traditional collegiate styling and French luxury. Not only that, no compromise has been made on practicality. You can check out the whole collection on the End Clothing Website where prices start at around the £300 mark.
