Moncler x AMI Autumn/Winter 2015

Two of our French favourites, Moncler and AMI, are back with a fusion collection that sees Moncler’s Alpine outerwear roots fused some of AMI’s unmistakable Parisian prep.
Founded in 1952, Moncler have been styling fashion-conscious Joes on the slopes for over 60 years. And while AMI have been supplying the urban Parisians for a few years, thankfully Moncler haven’t forgotten their roots with super-luxe down jackets in the collection, perfect for après-ski.
After gaining experience at Dior and Givenchy, Alexandre Mattiussi launched AMI in 2011. And while Moncler hallmarks are dotted all over the collection, the AMI influence is marked with the collection’s mix of high-end casual gear, including parkas and bombers which are great for casual city-wear. There’s an oversized top coat, a shearling jacket, a herringbone hooded joint, as well as a few down pieces.
The Moncler x AMI collection offers far more than just outerwear though. They’re also showcasing plenty of knitwear, sweatshirts and a few accessories like knitted caps and a backpack.
Moncler’s traditional colourways all remain with Greys, Navys and Charcoals all dominating with bursts of Reds and Royal Blues. The Moncler x AMI Autumn/Winter 2015 collection seems to have taken Moncler off the slopes and onto the streets and will available from retailers this September.
