Nike Air Max Hometurf: London
Every now and then I see something getting released which reminds me of my youth. Nike Air Max are one of those things, and in particular the new Nike Air Max Hometurf: London.
Nike has a rich tradition of being loyal to its most popular styles, regularly reinventing and reproducing its most popular offerings and the iconic Air Max series is at the forefront of this trend.
Nike has just released a series of special edition Air Maxes for the spring season. The series is called ‘Hometurf’ and the pieces in the collection rep the three the most influential European fashion & style cities; namely London, Paris & Milan.
Luckily for us all, the sneaker collections are not limited to the cities which inspire them!
The standout piece for London is the Nike Air Max 90 London – Hyperfuse. It features the classic Air Max 90 design (originally released as the Air Max III in 1990 if you remember that far back, and later renamed after the year of its release) with a London inspired twist.
Each pair of Air Max 90 London – Hyperfuse features a colour scheme of blue, black and grey with a florescent orange pop to really help you stand out from the crowd. They also show off a city tag on the tongue for the city that inspired them.
The rest of the Hometurf collection sticks to this arrangement with muted tones and flashes of fluorescents’ to make it feel more like spring, and all the kicks are definitely worth a look.
