Nike ‘Ale Brown’ Pack
Despite our intense love for both, beer and trainers might not seem like the most natural and obvious of fits when it comes to design. But Nike see things a little differently and have used ale as the inspiration behind their latest collection, the ‘Ale Brown’ Pack.
The collection brings together some of the Swoosh’s most recognisable 90’s runners resurrected from the archive – the Air Huarache, the Classic BW, the Air Max 95, and the Air Max 90 – as they received a suitably ale-y makeover complete with a combination of premium materials and pale ale brown highlights.
While the golden nector is the focus of the collection, the Air Huarache is using it subtlety and features Navy and White as its dominating colourway, with light Brown detailing being used around the back of the upper and the heel strap.
While the Huarache might not use the theme extensively, the Air Max 95 is dominated by Brown featuring off-White and Brown panelling all over the leather and canvas upper. Navy is also used on the air-filled midsole, while a reflective Brown panel finishes things off on the heel.
The Air Max 90 uses similar dual-colourways with Brown and Navy used on upper. The midsole comes in a crisp White, with the Air Unit surrounded by a bold Navy.
The Classic BW tones things down a little with White as its predominant canvas colour. Navy hits have then been washed over the whole midsole and the rubber heelcup. The Brown ale is used purely on the ‘Air Max’ heel detailing.
The Nike ‘Ale Brown’ Pack is available now with prices as follows; Nike Air Huarache – £95, Nike Air Max 95 – £120, Nike Air Max 90 – £120, Nike Air Max Classic BW – £105. Head over to the Nike Website for more details.
