No stranger to collaborating with pop-culture icons having teamed up with Star Wars a couple of years ago, Nixon has just announced their most hardcore collab to date – the Nixon x Metallica watch collection. Featuring eight watches plus one Limited Edition, the range features some of the watch brand’s most loved timepieces with some of Metallica’s famed album artworks.

Nixon Announce Hardcore Metallica Watch Collection

Formed in 1981, Metallica has gone on to become one of the biggest and most influential acts in musical history, having sold nearly 120 million albums worldwide. A collection born of long-shared mutual respect for upstarts who buck the system and wind up changing it for good, the Nixon x Metallica collection is set to be released later this year in November.

There are eight watches in total in the collection, with the highlight the very Limited Edition 51-30 Tide LTD ‘Sanitarium’. The unique watch features a custom bezel with “Prison Bar” cage, tally marks on dial ring, an ‘Insane / Sane’ sub dial, and embossed tally marks on crown.

There’s also two models from the Sentry Leather collection; the ‘Seek & Destroy’ and the ‘Black Album’. The ‘Seek & Destroy’ features bullet indices, ‘Flying V’ seconds hand, and a ‘Seek and Destroy’ internal band print, while the full grain leather ‘Black Album’ model comes with Metallica Barb seconds hand and a leather textured dial.

Nixon’s all-time best-selling Time Teller has also been given the rock treatment with the 5-link stainless steel timepiece being offered in ‘Ride the Lightening’, ‘Kill ‘Em All’, ‘Pushead’, and ‘Hardwired’ models.

The Nixon x Metallica watch collection will be available on Monday 5th November both in stores and online at the Nixon Website. But if want one of the nine models guaranteed, you can pre-order one over at the Metallica Website now. Prices start at £110 for the Time Teller range and rise to £625 for the 51-30 Tide LTD ‘Sanitarium’.
