British outwear brand Parka London have just launched their Autumn/Winter 2015 with a refined take on some of Parka’s favourite styles by reinventing them for the contemporary Joe.
While they’ve been reinvented, the latest Parka collection still consists of all the high quality jackets and coats you’d expect with the Military Parka, Peacoat and Classic Mod all making an appearance.
The range features hard-wearing fabrics and details such as dry wax and carbon coatings to repel rain, quilted linings, hand-warming fleece pockets and carefully considered technical features, designed to keep the elements out and the warmth in.
The standout in Parka’s latest offering is without doubt the iconic Olan jacket, which holds its place in history having being adopted by trends, movements and subcultures worldwide. The most notable of these is the direct association with Mod movement and the legends within it, such as The Jam, The Who and British Mod icon Phil Daniels in Quadrophenia.
Perfect for the cooler months ahead, this modern parka is curved dipped hem and back storm flap showcase of all the traits and hard wearing, robust features you would expect from a timeless fashion item developed from a military essential.
Other corkers in the range include the Mikkel, which is a classic carbon coated water resistant parka inspired by the classic fishermans jacket, and the Kristoffer in Tan, which is an easy wearing short parka with a smart and premium feel. It’s water resistant thanks to its dry wax finish and is set off by contrasting colour lining.
The Parka London Autumn/Winter 2015 collection is available now on the Parka London Website with prices varying from £185 for the Kirstoffer to £250 for the iconic Olan and the Mikkel fisherman’s jacket.
