Parmigiani Fleurier x Bugatti 390 Concept Watch
Following the announcement of the insane looking Chiron in Geneva, Bugatti’s official watch partner Parmigiani Fleurier has marked the occasion with a similarly unsubtle and exclusive concept watch dedicated to the beast. Take a look at the Parmigiani Fleurier x Bugatti 390 Concept Watch.
The 390 concept watch is as bonkers as you’d expect for something that’s been inspired by the world’s fastest, and most powerful production supercar. The unique design sees tubular movement and a coaxial structure which is said to be based upon the Chiron’s engine.
The watch features a striking single tube which contains almost all of the functions of the watch. That means the winding tube, gear train, power reserve and tourbillon are all packed in there, all in separate compartments.
The time on the PF-Bugatti 390 is then displayed in a traditional manner on a flat pane with hands moved thanks to power transferred by a worm screw. The watch also bears the signature of racing driver Louis Chiron, who inspired the car, and has a two-tone design detailing echoing the look of the Chiron.
The Bugatti Chiron itself develops 1479bhp and 1180lb ft, which, believe us, is staggering. It has a constant top speed of 261mph and will also accelerate from 0-62mph in less than 2.5 seconds. To illustrate how powerful that is, the Chiron will drain its fuel tank in just nine minutes! Ooft.
The Parmigiani Fleurier x Bugatti 390 Concept Watch is just that at the moment so may not enter production. Having said that, we’re sure anyone who’s forking out $2.6 million on a Chiron may be able to twist Bugatti’s arm…
