If you’re a regular follower of Average Joes, you’ll know how much we love US label Penfield. Perfectly fusing function, fashion and durability, Penfield are now firmly established here in the UK and they’re back for their Autumn/Winter 2016 collection.
The AW16 collection features a combination of Penfield Icons, both classic and contemporary, with an injection of modern silhouettes and technical fabrications, perfectly blending Penfield’s 40 years of rich history with innovative craft and design.
New to the Penfield line-up this season in the Reflective series, a men’s capsule and womenswear line of outerwear and accessories which are constructed from an advanced fabric to become fully reflective and reactive to light in the night. Penfield staples have been given the Reflective treatment, such as the premium down Mackinaw, the Outback down vest, and the lightweight Kasson for £275.
The new two tone sportswear range is also new to Penfield, featuring the likes of the Bowerbridge jacket at £200. Originally based on classic down jackets of the 1970s, the Bowerbridge features a lightweight Nylon shell and quilt-through down to get you through the cooler months.
Another addition to the line-up is the Vanleer at £195, a contemporary take on the classic bomber jacket. Available in olive and black, with a subtle matte finish, the Vanleer comes with a premium 80/20 down filling the bomber will keep you warm whilst maintaining a slim and refined silhouette, owed to the chevron quilt lines.
Other notable staples we like are the Nita classic jersey t-shirt, featuring an embroidered bear patch logo on the chest for £25; and the Travel Shell for £100, a lightweight and breathable jacket that’s extremely weatherproof – ideal for the morning commute and weekend adventures.
