Penfield FW17 Menswear Collection

If you’re a regular reader of Average Joes, you’ll know how much we love New England-based outdoor brand Penfield. Perfectly fusing function, style and durability, Penfield are now firmly established here in the UK and they’re back for their Fall/Winter 2017 collection.

Blending forty-years of rich history with innovative design and modern craft, the Penfield FW17 collection sees the New England label take strides in progressing their collection with a strong focus on design innovation and development with a bold new colour Palette of fire orange, phosphorus and pink.

Building upon their founding principles as an authentic outdoors brand, Penfield’s latest collection celebrates the classic Penfield aesthetic with iconic styles subtly reworked and updated with new finishes, elevated technical details and contemporary styling.

Alongside some of your Penfield favourites, the brand is debuting a diverse range of new styles influenced by Penfield’s trail wear background and modern sportswear. Key pieces in this mould include the tonal camo Equinox down puffer and tri-colour block Greylock jacket, a fully waterproof technical mountain parka

With a bold new colour palette of fire orange, phosphorus and pink, items in the FW17 range are a little bolder than previous collections, combining a plethora of new fabrications, textures and treatments with strong tones.

Being firmly rooted in the outerwear market, however, it’s only natural that mid layers and fleece lines have been expanded, offering options as transitional styles ideal for milder conditions and Winter layering. New styles include the likes of the Mattawa which is the perfect compliment for Penfield’s classic Sherpa fleece.

Though coats and jackets do dominate the collection, Penfield’s combination of classic and contemporary is also shown in its shirting, with indigo dyed dobby textures, military inspired ripstops and soft flannels. The Penfield Fall/Winter 2017 Collection is available now over at the Penfield Website.
