Porter 80th Anniversary Bag Collection
Porter have been producing top quality bags for 80 years now and to celebrate, the Japanese brand have teamed up with a selection of other labels and designers from around the world for a range of high-end accessories.
Porter’s 80th birthday is being celebrated with a collaboration with some of the best artists, designers and brands across the globe, including Off-White, Paul Smith and Stone Island just to name a few. Each collaboration offers up a Backpack, Tote Bag and 2-Way Boston Bag perfect for the modern Joe.
Stone Island bring their famed innovation to the party with bags consisting of canvas and polypropylene. This means they’re incredible lightweight but still durable. The Stone Island signature patch and snap button is also naturally present.
Music producer and fashion designer Hiroshi Fujiwara utilises a laminated fragment design with a semi-transparent shell that highly durability. Another divisive design comes from music-influence MM Paris design house with a printed bag donning ‘WORLD OF M/M’ across the entire surface.
Italian brand Missoni take a contemporary and luxurious route with a fabric that’s been woven with a mix of coloured yarns and is then finished with gold detailing, while the Off-White take on Porter incorporates bold stripes that somehow manage to stay relatively subtle
Our favourite two, though, come from London thanks to James Jarvis and Paul Smith. James Jarvis’ offering sees a camouflage-like pattern, while Paul Smith stays true to his British roots with a casual twist on the Porter luggage.
The whole Porter 80th anniversary luggage collection is available very soon at End Clothing where prices will start at around the £350 mark.
