Religion Clothing AW13
Fusing tailoring with rugged urban style with a rebellious undertone, Religion have released a bold collection for Autumn Winter 2013. The palette is kept muted with winter tones including greys, blacks, blues and browns and featuring flashes of bolder colours to keep the collection engaging.
Layers are key to Religion’s outfit building, with the leather items being a mainstay for outerwear this season. There are references to sportswear and 90’s street style, which combined with the brands dark aesthetic make for a sharp grown up vibe.
Standout pieces include the crinkle effect Occult leather jacket, with oversized biker lapels, which has a real gritty feel. The collection also features the Flood asymetric jumper in grey which has a bold uneven patterning adding a contemporary twist to a winter mainstay. The Paper high tops offer the wearer versatility with an off white hue, and are named so as they look like they are coated in screwed up paper. They are styled in keeping with the 90’s street inspiration, and are capable of setting off an outfit in a fresh yet understated manner. Tailored jackets also come through strong with a number of different styles in a variety of colours, but we prefer the edgier street items from the collection which reflect the brands roots in East London.
