Scaramouche and Fandango are a company with quite the reputation and fan base. Starting is 2012, their products are already stocked at Selfridges, John Lewis and Fortnum and Mason. They are fast becoming one of THE top brands for male grooming.
Calling for a return of ‘the art of being a Real Gent’, the men’s grooming company are certainly distinctive in a crowded market with bold and bright colouring in their packaging and branding. The primary colours of the product’s initials make their products instantly recognisable on a shelf, and can’t stop you thinking like Walter White when you’re in the shower.
Their range is not as extensive as some, but we don’t see this as a negative. As Scaramouche and Fandango argue, they ‘cut out the jargon’. All your 6 essentials are there, so no fuss is necessary: Shampoo, Conditioner, Face Scrub, Hydrator, Body Wash and Shave Cream. They are also very reasonably priced at £8-£11. Naturally, gift sets are available too.
There is also a new eau de toilette with hints of citrus and vetiver in range if you don’t mind splashing out a little extra priced at £25: ‘Due to such overwhelming positive feedback of our fragrance consistent across our existing toiletry products, we decided to bottle it! After working with a number of master perfumers, we have been able to enhance and build the fragrance to create an eau de toilette that challenges the status quo.’
The success is in the detail. Targeting the travelled and busy working man, Scaramoche and Fandango’s products are all available in 100ml and therefore relieve the stress of having to throw away anything at the airport before flights. They are also designed to fit through standard letterboxes which means you can avoid those inconvenient queues at the Post Office. Manufactured entirely in the UK, all ingredients are of the highest quality with the shaving cream enriched with Chronodyntm cell energiser and guava extract, for example.
When it comes to the use, everything is no fuss and simple as you would expect. And with that bold branding, it’s easy to see what you’re picking up, even with squinted eyes peering through steam in the shower. The standard products are actually quite neautrel in smell, and someone would have to be close to even notice it.
Scaramouche and Fandango say, “at the core of a Real Gent is the idea of distinction. Not just through appearance, style or touches of flair but through excellence of character and conduct.” We at Average Joes couldn’t agree more!
