Size? x New Balance 801 Vazee
We’ve long been fans of online clothing retailer Size? and always keep an especially keen eye on their trainer collaborations, which have produced some absolute gems over the years. Their latest collaboration sees the Manchester-based retailer hook up with New Balance to reimagine a 90s classic in the 801. Say hello to the New Balance 801 Vazee.
Yes, Size? have dipped into the New Balance archive of performance footwear to revitalise the forgotten 801 model. Originally a trail shoe from the late 90’s, the new 801 has been updated with a modern sleek Vazee sole unit to bring the silhouette forward to the 21st century.
Available in three exclusive colour options, the 801 Vazee collection takes its inspiration (both form and colourways) from the aesthetic of Japanese street culture, with an emphasis on premium materials and clean tonal colourways.
The brand new 801 comes with a durable and comfortable perforated upper material which sits on top of a soft mesh underlay. As well as also featuring premium embossed nubuck detailing back on the heel, to support your ankles when running, you’ll notice the main feature of the trainer is the unique wraparound tongue.
To finish things off, a lightweight REVlite midsole has been applied to bridge the gap between performance and contemporary style in a way which New Balance often do so well.
Available in either a White, Black or Olive colourway, the Size? x New Balance 801 Vazee will be available on the Size? Website and in selected stores on Friday 8th July, with each pair setting you back around the £75 mark.
