The North Face has debuted the brand’s first step in a shift towards design-driven fashion with the introduction of SS20 Black Series. Focusing on innovative technology, Black Series features the brands new breathable, waterproof material FUTURELIGHT and builds on the label’s heritage on the mountains with a fashion-forward collection.
The North Face’s Black Series for SS20 is a premium collection designed with a renewed focus on the feminine point of view for the more discerning fashionistas. The collection features men’s pieces with feminine silhouettes, as well as gender-neutral and women’s-specific styles.
The Black Series was born from the desire to create a collection that embodies the brand’s design-led culture with fashion-forward silhouettes. To achieve this, The North Face brought together a team of diverse designers with experience ranging from haute couture to technical sportswear to create pieces never seen from the label. The result is a hyper minimalist, modern collection for the urban explorer.
The team specifically turned to two icons from the brand’s past to build the SS20 Black Series collection around: the innovative construction of the brand’s signature Geodesic Dome, and the Mountain Light jacket, one of the brand’s most popular and recognisable performance pieces.
The North Face Black Series SS20 collection will be available over at The North Face Website and in select The North Face stores from 28 February 2020, where prices start at £50 and rise to £1,220.
In other style news, with the release of No Time to Die now less than two months away, Swatch have announced the launch of their new James Bond-inspired watch collection.
