The North Face Heads to the City with UE Icons Collection
We all know about The North Face’s pedigree when it comes to the mountains. But having been around for over half a century, the world’s leading outerwear brand are now heading to the city streets and they’re bringing their icons with them. Introducing The North Face UE Icons lifestyle collection.
The North Face is taking its icons to a lifestyle collection. Reimagining its legendary outerwear for city life, the UE Icons urban collection brings together all of The North Face’s technical knowhow with some contemporary styling inspired by innovations and shapes from the 60s and 70s.
Born in the mountains and adapted for the everyday, the urban Icons collection is led by two standout pieces, the Men’s Mountain Murdo Light Parka and the Women’s Cagoule Light Parka, a take on a classic weatherproof released back in 1968. Both which are pioneering rainwear items which pack all the technical features you’d expect from The North Face.
Naturally, we’re interested in the Men’s Mountain Murdo, a true urban take on a classic original McMurdo expedition jacket. The pioneering rainwear jacket combines alpine chest pockets and all-weather tech – albeit with a sleeker silhouette – fully embodying mountain tech reimagined for city life.
The full The North Face UE Icons Collection is set to drop over at The North Face Website, with a secondary collection available at JD Sports, at some point within the next few days. The Men’s Mountain Murdo Light Parka will set you back £200.
