No brand around collaborates quite as often as Vans. And having worked with the likes of NASA, David Bowie and even Vincent Van Gogh in recent months, it’s time for the skateboarding label to team up with its most powerful partner yet; Harry Potter.
Yes, this season Vans is collaborating with Warner Bros for a Harry Potter-inspired shoe collaboration. Named and styled after each house from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Vans will release four exclusive colourways in equal numbers of Vans’ classic silhouettes.
Naturally Vans have pulled out some of their biggest hitters for the collection, with each Hogwarts house inspiring a classic silhouette. The Sk8-Hi will be used for Gryffindor, an Era for Slytherin, and an Authentic for Ravenclaw, while the Classic Slip-On will be getting the Hufflepuff treatment.
To complete the collection, Vans will announce additional footwear styles alongside a selection of men’s and women’s Harry Potter apparel and accessories. So whether goofy foot or regular stance, Gryffindor or Slytherin, the Vans x Harry Potter footwear and apparel collection will appeal to all enthusiasts of Vans and the Wizarding World.
The Vans x Harry Potter collection will go on sale at some point over the next few months. But other than that, we don’t have any further details. So best keep an eye on the Vans Website.
In other trainer news, last month adidas announced the fully recyclable Loop as part of their Futurecraft range in a bid to cut the number of shoes that end up in landfill each year.
