Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 Wet Razor
More Joes than ever are shaving less these days with almost half are choosing not to pick up their razor to avoid a common battle with irritation. To combat irritation ‘face-on’ Wilkinson Sword are introducing the new Hydro 5 complete with innovative hydration gel pools and we have been testing it.
With 125 years of knowledge under their belt, Wilkinson Sword has unveiled the technology that surpasses the outdated lubrication strips. The innovative Hydrating Gel Pools cannot be found on any other razor. Lasting up to twice as long as other lubrication strips on the market, the gel pools deliver 40% less friction than any other razor blade.
The gel ensures a super-thick coverage spread evenly across the face, leaving the skin feeling protected through every stroke and up to one hour after each shave – something a conventional strip can’t do. You really do notice it as well, a cooling, gel like feel is left over your face rather than the usual slimy irritation.
The new Hydro 5 also comes with a Flip Trimmer for some extra control and precision. Rather than struggling to reach difficult contours of the face, simply flick the thumb to flick back the Hydrating Gel Pools to reveal five blades that deliver unparalleled precision.
The guard bars have also been redesigned for the Hydro 5. This along with reduced blade span means that comfort, safety and skin pinching prevention have been improved. The handle has also been tweaked to give the razor a full range of motion and feel much more comfortable in your hand.
The tech will also be rolled out across the full Hydro range, including the Hydro 3, Power Select and Groomer. If you’re a sensitive Joe, it’ll also be found in the Hydro 5 Sensitive – the only 5-blade sensitive razor on the market. Containing additional Aloe Vera and Vitamin E in the Hydrating Gel Pools, the Hydro 5 Sensitive will help soothe the skin while still offering all the control and precision.
The new Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 and Hydro 5 Sensitive will hit supermarkets from February 2016 and will set Joes back a very reasonable £9.99. Head over to the Wilkinson Sword Website for more details.
