Wrangler Born Ready

American icons Wrangler have released a new outdoor-inspired denim collection. The Ready Collection has been designed to combine style and innovation, providing jeans with outstanding warmth in cold conditions and integrating water-resistant and technical outdoor fabrics.

Rain Ready jeans feature an invisible water-resistant finish applied to their exterior, to offer some protection in a sudden downpour, while Cold Ready jeans will have Joes feeling warm with a soft lining made from stretch-fleece. The Cold Ready denim is also woven with Thermolite, a hollow core fibre that traps air to give added insulation.

To celebrate the launch of the Ready denim collection, Wrangler has teamed up with British adventurer Alastair Humphreys to produce a series of interactive feature guides to local adventures in and around London, Manchester and Edinburgh, as well as in Germany and Poland.

Sometimes living and working in the big city can be constricting. Which is why the Born Ready platform will enable Joes to choose from almost 100 adventures close to your city which have been created by Alastair, who spent over 4 years cycling round the world through 60 countries and 5 continents.

More recently Alastair has walked across southern India, rowed across the Atlantic Ocean, ran 6 marathons and participated in an expedition in the Arctic, close to the magnetic North Pole – so it’s fair to say he knows his beans. But fear not, adventures recommended are a little less taxing and include forest walks and alfresco swims, as well as challenging hill cycles if you’re a little more hardcore.

If you’re in need of some inspiration, just go to the Wrangler Born Ready Website and click on the icons that correspond to the sort of thing you fancy. The map will then offer top tips from Alastair on what to bring and what kit to wear. Also check out the Ready Collection at the Wrangler Online Shop.
