With the introduction of ‘Air Bridges’ on Friday, talk of travel and getting that Summer holiday fix is finally back. But do you want to take that old, worn-out suitcase with you or would you rather look a little bit more stylish than the average holiday maker? Well if so, Carl Friedrik might just have you covered with their latest Carry-On and Check-in suitcases.
The smaller of the two suitcases is called the Carry-On and it is exactly what the name suggests, a carry-on suitcase. Made from lightweight polycarbonate with natural leather detailing, this case is not going to weigh you down at the airport. It has a zipper-less clamshell design with customary TSA-approved locks.
You can add an optional battery pack to charge your devices on the go and the 360 swivel wheels were designed in Japan for quality and silence. It comes in dark grey with a choice of three leather options; Cognac, Chocolate and Black. Most importantly, it is compliant with most European, US and International airline cabin size restrictions.
The Check-In features many of the same features that the Carry-On does. The same lightweight yet safe construction, the same colour options and the same security. This time in a larger form-factor. The Check-In is 44.5x65x27cm and weighs 4.5kg. Best of all, if you pre-order now, Carl Friedrik will knock 25% off the price (ships in October).
Style doesn’t often come cheap but these don’t seem to bad given the cost of some luxury luggage. The Carry-On is £315 (£40 extra for the battery). The Check-In is £395 but £296.25 if you pre-order (ships in October). By both together and save 20% on both for a total of £568.
