Chesterfield Hotel, Palm Beach

The Chesterfield Hotel in Palm Beach may not be as well known as the world famous Breakers, but is this the secret jewel in the Islands crown?

The Chesterfield Hotel in Palm Beach may not be as well known as the world famous Breakers, but is this the secret jewel in the Islands crown?

Situated just two blocks from the world famous Worth Avenue, the Chesterfield Palm Beach hotel features 52 rooms with 5 different room types. From the Queen Rooms through to the one and only Penthouse. Each of them individually decorated and completely unique with one-off art and décor make sure that no two rooms will ever be the same.

Situated in the heart of Palm Beach, the positioning of this hotel is near perfect. Walk for 5 minutes East and you will be soaking up the sun on the sandy beach with the Atlantic lapping at your feet, take a 2 minute walk south and you will be rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous on the world famous Worth Avenue. Or walk back West across the bridge and you will hit the centre of West Palm Beach, with it’s lively Café’s, Bars and anything else in-between. It really is a great base for a short stay on Florida’s most famous island.

When it comes to the hotel, we loved the mix of retro style with a modern twist of technology and comfort as found in most rooms. If you can, try and grab one with a ‘soft wall’. Yes, imagine ‘Get him to the Greek‘ here with Sean Combs rubbing his face on the wall? These rooms have a soft wall covering which add to the effect (and I guess sound proofing if you are on your honeymoon, ahem!) and add something that little bit different.

In terms of facilities, the hotel boasts one of the world famous leopard lounge’s which has just been completely renovated and is open to the public as well as guests. With quirky décor, amazing fans, every drink imaginable and a full menu no matter what time of day, the lounge does really cater for all tastes. Whether it be a quiet lunch with the family, or to wine and dine a loved one in the evening before going on to dance the night away with live music. The choice is yours. There is also a beautiful courtyard, which has both sun and shade should you want something a little more relaxed.

Elsewhere, you will find a guest pool, with a number of sun loungers. This place is THE perfect suntrap. It is completely private and secluded, and of course sheltered from the wind. Inside, we loved the Library, with old leather Chesterfield’s allowing you to chill and relax whilst reading a book or sipping your afternoon tea. A little bit different, there is also a cigar room, with private rooms for those important meetings.

All in all, we loved our expereince at the Chesterfield Palm Beach, our only complaint was that we couldn’t stay longer. To find out more, head over and check the website here.
