BrewDog Want To Open a Hotel With IPA-Filled Hot Tubs
Last week Scottish brewing kings BrewDog opened the doors to their brand new taproom in Columbus, Ohio – their first in the United States. Not content with a humble brewery and taproom, BrewDog have just announced that they want to give DogTap Columbus a fully functioning craft beer hotel complete with IPA-filled hot tubs!
You may have read about the brewery’s recent attempts to build a BrewDog hotel near their Ellon brewery in Aberdeenshire, and while they’re still hopeful of getting it over the line, in the meantime they’re asking purveyors of their beer to crowdfund the world’s first craft beer hotel which will be attached to the new BrewDog sour beer facility in Ohio.
The design process for DogHouse Columbus hotel are already under way with the promise of making it ‘the best beer-oriented hotel in the world.’ Each room will have a view of their sour beer fodders and the hotel’s features will include beer breakfasts and beer-based spa treatments.
As well as waking up to the balcony view of a working brewery, the rooms themselves will contain beer fridges in the showers and Punk IPA on tap. But the real standout promise is hot tubs filled with Punk IPA beer. ‘Why?’ you ask? Who cares!
The DogHouse Columbus Hotel is being funded over on Indiegogo where rewards range from tours, tastings and t-shirts to free stays in the hotel, beery spa treatments and the chance to design your very own sour beer. You can even take over the entire hotel and all fifty rooms for a night with breakfast and lunch included.
Quite why a big company like BrewDog is needing crowd-funding is beyond us, but it’s clearly caught the imagination as the hotel has already hit its target with over a month of funding left to go. Head over to the BrewDog Craft Beer Hotel Indiegogo Website for more details.
