We’re always on the lookout for awesome accommodation – especially in the capital. So this summer, why not step aboard one of the most distinctive additions to London’s boutique hotel scene? Launched in partnership with MADE.com, The Boathouse London is an industrial style barge turned into contemporary boutique hotel.

Canal Boat Meets Luxury on Made.com's The Boathouse London

Found on the scenic waters of Little Venice in West London, the uber-chic The Boathouse London is a 60-foot widebeam barge which offers couples a contemporary alternative to traditional accommodation, with all of the novelty of a canal boat meeting all the amenities of a luxury hotel.

Furnished in a state-of-the-art Scandinavian style, the sleek interior of The Boathouse features reclaimed wood panelling, a versatile open-plan layout, and Egyptian cotton bed linens. Not only that, there’s also a generous deck on top which provides a space to enjoy some outdoor dining or just some relaxation.

The Boathouse London will have various uses, from hiring your own boat driver to navigate the canals, to enlisting the talents of a chef for an unforgettable dinner aboard. As well as functioning as a boutique hotel on the water, it’ll also play host to the like of private film screenings, yoga brunches, and supper clubs.

The Boathouse London will be available to book over at the Boathouse Website, where prices start from £320 a night. The aim over the next few years is to launch boats at different locations across Central London, including Angel, Primrose Hill and Notting Hill. There’s also plans further afield for the likes of Berlin, Amsterdam and Copenhagen.
