Continuing our quest to find the coolest accommodation on the planet, take a look at this incredible treehouse hotel located in Montana. Nestled on seven acres of woodland at the gateway to the Glacier National Park, the Montana Treehouse Retreat is the abode our childhood always dreamed of!
Perfect for a quiet writers retreat, honeymoon or romantic getaway, the Montana Treehouse Retreat is spectacular at first glance. Upon approaching, guests are welcomed by a grand spiral staircase entrance which has been custom crafted around a giant Douglas fir tree. Two trees grow through the treehouse interior in total and two other trees balance the decks outside.
Inside, the Treehouse Retreat has 500 square feet of living space which wraps around the central tree. It comes with two outside deck areas, three six-foot long padded benches which double up as sleeping quarters, and a fully equipped kitchen which comes with all the basics you’d need like a stove and even a dishwasher.
The common room has a second spiral staircase which leads to the first floor containing a full bathroom with a full sized shower and sink. The master suite loft has a queen tempur-pedic mattress leading out to the second story deck through a sliding glass door. It also has a private ‘half bathroom’.
While the house is an adventure of its own, it’s close proximity to the Glacier National Park and the slopes of Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort make it the ideal location for adventures future afield. Golfing, fishing, white-water rafting, boating, skiing/snowboarding, hiking, and biking are all just minutes away.
The Montana Treehouse Retreat is available to book over at the Airbnb Website where prices start at £237 a night. Earlier this year we featured the Atelier-Lavit designed Origin Tree House, which was inspired by the nests of neighbouring birds.
