Stay in a Giant Wooden Trojan Pig with Orchard Pig Cider
Like pigs? Like cider? Like Airbnb? Then we have just the abode for you. The Orchard Pig cider company has gone and built the ‘world’s first portable piggy home’, offering fans the chance to get a taste of the countryside (and cider) by staying in a massive pig-shaped wooden pod.
Named the ‘Trojan Pig’, Orchard Pig’s new pink abode can fit 12 people, sleep two, and comes complete with all the necessities for a night under the stars. And while it may be based in Bristol near its West Country home, the wooden pig is fully mobile and can be brought directly to you wherever you want to stay.
According to the company’s Airbnb advert, the pods are perfect for groups and will have you sleeping like ‘pigs in blankets’. It’s equipped with all the camping essentials, including fully weather proofed facilities, sleeping bags, festoon lighting, cooking equipment and soft furnishings for the ultimate ‘sty-cation’
The listing has been created by Orchard Pig to celebrate their new pink cider which apparently take its colour from purple carrots. The carrots are said to be a firm favourite of the pigs, which traditionally used to trot around apple orchards of Somerset where Orchard Pig are based.
Orchard Pig’s Trojan Pig is available for some select dates over this summer and bookings for August open next week. The giant wooden pig will also be doing the rounds of the UK festival scene over the course of the summer. Find out more over at the Airbnb Website.
While Orchard Pig’s travelling abode is undoubtedly unique, we’re not sure we’ve come across something quite as unique as this abode in Idaho, USA, which gives guests the chance to stay in a six-ton potato.
