We’re always on the lookout for the most interesting accommodation on the planet, and more often than not, our search takes us to the Nordics. So unsurprisingly, one of the best we’ve seen in a while is this Panorama Glass Lodge in Iceland which offers uninterrupted views of the night’s sky and the Northern Lights.

Located by the Greenland Sea at Hvalfjordur, the Panorama Glass Lodge is a unique igloo where you can sleep under the stars and get the best view of the Aurora Borealis. Just a 30-minute drive from Reykjavík, the lodge is located in a remote area with full privacy, making it the ideal location for a honeymoon or just an adventure.

Alongside the greenhouse-like bedroom at the Glass Lodge, there’s also a fully equipped kitchen and the amenities you’ll need during your stay. The bedroom itself features a king-size bed with finest luxury duvets from Böhmerwald and linen from Schlafgut.

The kitchen comes with free tea and coffee, as well as basic food and a dining table for two. A toaster, a fridge and a water heater are also available. The bathroom contains a large waterfall shower and features wood-panelling for a real spa ambience. But the pièce de résistance is a luxury outdoor hot tube located next to the lodge, offering stunning views of your surroundings.

Only accessible by car, the Panorama Glass Lodge is so remote that you might be lucky enough to see sunbathing seals or even whales in the fjord from the beach. The Hvalfjarðareyri area is ideal for hiking and bird watching, and there’s always the option of heading on a Golden Circle tourist trips.
