With the European ski season just around the corner, it’s usually this time of year where you start booking your cabin. But while France and Austria receive all the headline, Georgia has seen a surge in tourism recently thanks to its incredible slopes and true value for money. And one of its newest resorts has caught our eye. Take a look at the stunning Quadrum Ski & Yoga Resort.
Based near the popular town of Gudauri, Georgia, Quadrum Ski & Yoga Resort is located as close to the mountains as is possible, offering breath-taking views of the Caucasus Mountains. As well as incredible panoramic views from every room, the resort itself is something to look at having been constructed with a set of unused shipping containers.
Inside the five-story Quadrum hotel, things are minimalist in design. There’s a common area on the ground floor while each room of the hotel’s rooms guarantees views of the snow-capped mountains. Single Standard Rooms come with panoramic windows, Double Standard Rooms feature an individual terrace, while Deluxe Suites come with two separate rooms, three terraces and a Jacuzzi.
The yoga portion of the hotel comes in the form of an in-house studio, which provides a contrasting workout to the nearby slopes. The closest ski-lift is just a 5 minute walk from hotel, and there’s also a swimming pool and sauna on site. If you wanted some relaxation, there’s free Wi-Fi throughout, with the hotel suggesting you watch a movie on the terrace with a glass of Georgian wine.
Gudauri itself is the largest ski resort in Georgia, offering 60 km of slopes – perfect for both skiing and snowboarding no matter what level of experience you have or level of difficulty you’re after. There are 11 lifts in total with the winter sports area situated between 1,990m and 3,279m.
The Quadrum Ski & Yoga Resort hotel is available to book now over at the Quadrum Website.
