The Ritz-Carlton Is Hitting the Waves with the Yacht Collection
It’s just been announced that luxury hotel chain The Ritz-Carlton will offer bespoke cruises on three lavishly built yachts beginning in 2019, bringing it with it the company’s award-winning luxury service and timeless style to the oceans. Here’s your first look at The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.
Created by The Ritz-Carlton and maritime experts Douglas Prothero and Lars Clasen, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will offer travellers a unique experience on the waves, with the aim to give guests a relaxed, casually elegant and comfortable atmosphere with the highest level of personalised service.
The first of The Ritz-Carlton ships will cruise a wide variety of destinations depending on the season, including the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America, with the yacht calling at locations typically not accessible to large cruise ships, from Capri and Portofino to St. Barths and the old town of Cartagena.
The specially designed small capacity vessel measures in at just 190m long and will accommodate up to 298 passengers in its 149 suites, each of which comes with its own private balcony. The yacht will also feature two 138sqm lavish duplex penthouse suites, with modern craftsmanship and interior finishes jointly designed by The Ritz-Carlton and leading cruise ship design firm, Tillberg Design of Sweden.
Naturally, The Ritz-Carlton yachts will feature plenty of luxury amenities with a restaurant by Sven Elverfeld of Aqua, the three Michelin-starred restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg; a signature Ritz-Carlton Spa; and a Panorama Lounge and wine bar, offering a wide variety of on-board entertainment.
The first of the ships from The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is set to sail at the beginning of 2019 with reservations open next May. Voyages will range from 7 to 10 days and include overnight and daytime ports of call. Head over to The Ritz-Carlton Website for more details.
