LV Top 10 Iconic Movie Cars

If you’re a regular follower of our work here at Average Joes, you’ll know we love four things; cars, films, lists and spending hours on end trawling through crowd-funding websites. Well, encompassing three of the four at least is LV’s list of the most iconic cars to feature in films and it’s got us talking/arguing!
The list features ten cars from Hollywood including the 1962 VW Beetle from The Love Bug, the Ford Gran Torino from Starsky and Hutch and even the Tumbler from Batman Begins! But after much deliberation we’ve narrowed it down to what we think are the top three.
Following the recent frenzy that was Back to the Future Day, we’d have to be heartless not to feature the Delorean DMC-12 in our top three. It certainly hits the brief as iconic with the gullwing doors and a Flux Capacitor. It’s also the one on the list we’d like to own the most too as.. you know.. it travels through time and space!
The other icon that just missed the grade for top spot was Michael ‘bloody doors’ Caine and the Mini Cooper from The Italian Job. The British masterpiece is instantly recognisable and is the mode of transport for probably the greatest car chase in film history so we couldn’t ignore it.
But while we love the Mini, it doesn’t quite have the wow factor like our winner. How could we not choose the Aston Martin DB5 from Skyfall and Goldfinger (perhaps even Spectre….)? It’s James Bond’s favourite car, for god’s sake! Oozing in class and sophistication, the DB5 is everything we’d want from a film car; fast, beautiful to look at and an ejector seat. Oh and did we mention it is an Aston Martin? Perfection.
