It Does What It Says on the Tin. One of the most famous marketing slogans of the past 20 years (21 years in-fact). Dreamt up by Ronseal and mimicked by thousands, it is nearly a way of life. Summer wouldn’t be Summer without hearing the advert and slaving away painting that fence which you have put off for the last 5 years.
Alas the marketing team has realised they aren’t really that honest. After all, Ronseal rarely comes in a tin nowadays. As such they have created a social campaign around #RonsealApology and created an incredibly cheesy video to match it which you can view below. The video is very much a heartfelt apology from (what we assume) is made up marketing director Martin Jones in a very tongue in cheek way.
Will Ronseal actually lose their million pound slogan and remove it from everywhere? Who knows, time will tell!
