With the wind and rain settling in for next few months, it’s not only your everyday footwear that needs an upgrade, it’s also your football boots. So to stop the early onset of frostbite in your little toe, adidas have just unveiled the ‘Cold Mode’ pack, featuring winter-ready versions of the Predator 18+, the Nemeziz 18+ and the X 18+.
Built for use on firm wintery pitches, the adidas ‘Cold Mode’ pack sees three of the Three Stripes’ most popular silhouettes get some added PrimaLoft inside the boot to ensure your feet get some premium insulation while exposed to extreme weather.
The highlight of the collection is the Predator 18+. Faithful to the original Predator, the ‘Cold Mode’ version comes in a fresh ‘Trace Blue/Legend Ink/Clear Orange’ colourway and features a laceless Primeknit upper and Sockfit collar to provide some much needed stability around the ankle.
Built ‘for the creator’, the “Cold Mode” Nemeziz 18+ comes in a unique ‘Maroon/Legend Ink/Collegiate Burgundy’ colourway and is inspired by sports taping to provide a compression fit around the foot for extra support when changing direction.
Lastly, the latest version of the X 18+ arrives for winter in a ‘Raw Green/Night Cargo/Clear Mint’ colour combination and is once again built for pure speed. Like all the other boots in the pack, the PrimaLoft insulation offers warmth even in the wettest of conditions.
The adidas ‘Cold Mode’ football boots pack is available now over at the adidas Website where prices start at £179.95.
Last month adidas unveiled the new Soft Ground Copa Gloro boot with a much needed wintertime soft-ground soleplate – just in time for some winter jumpers for goalposts.
