When it comes to football boots, we’ve always subscribed to the notion that ‘the simpler, the better.’ And we’re not just talking about construction. For us, you can’t beat a pair of black leather boots. Which is why we absolutely love the adidas’ new Soft Ground Copa Gloro boots, just in time for some winter jumpers for goalposts.
Power to the people. After seasons of demanding it, adidas have finally succumbed to pressure by equipping their much-loved Copa Gloro silo with a much needed wintertime soft-ground soleplate. A hybrid of two classic styles, these soft ground football boots serve up the best of the past in a design built for the modern game.
Taking cues from the adidas Gloro, the soft leather upper provides a snug, supportive fit, while the quilted toe offers the same silky touch as the adidas Copa. But it’s really all about the ‘Soft Ground’ edition which means players will no longer have to hang-up their Copas when the frost rolls in.
With boots now coming with laceless technology and synthetic fabrics, it’s good to see adidas aren’t neglecting their traditional leather boot fanbase and we absolutely love the Copa Gloros.
The adidas Soft Ground Copa Gloro football boots are available now in a low-key combination of Black and Mint, and are priced at £99.95. Head over to the adidas Website for more details.
Nike’s biggest football boot release this season is the PhantomVSN – a newly designed series that’s replaced the Magista line.
