Best Snow In Europe Right Now: January

The 2016-2017 ski season in Europe has taken far too long to deliver regular and consistent powder days. December saw the odd dump, but it hasn’t been enough to keep the slopes in excellent condition. We have seen far too many pictures from friends and family with this strange green/brown stuff in the background of photos!

For those of us who have been performing a snow dance on a daily basis, we have been rewarded with a welcome deluge of fresh powder. Many resorts across Austria, France, and Switzerland have been screaming out for some fresh snow and as the temperatures dropped across Europe, the snow duly arrived last week with some of the best snow in Europe.

So which resorts have enjoyed some of the biggest dumps of snow across Europe over the past week?

All five of the resorts above are reporting excellent off-piste powder and good to excellent on-piste conditions, there is no excuse not to get yourself booked onto a cheap flight into Geneva and onto one of these resorts. Of course, the recent snowfall isn’t the only reason to get yourself over to the Alps. Some of the best apres-ski venues are situated in these European resorts. Check out La Folie Deuce in Val Thorens and Farinet in Verbier for some table-dancing apres craziness.
