We’ve all got a mate who claims to win every week betting on the football with some crazy accumulator. He bets £10 and returns a months wages in one afternoon, well if it was that easy there wouldn’t be so many bookmakers around! A new website called Betegy has popped up and claimed some impressive stats, so we thought we’d take a look and see if it’s as good as it claims to be.
The Betegy system provides correct score and match result predictions for the top 5 European leagues (Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1). A slick website which is easy to navigate delivers a wealth of stats for you to ponder over. They offer three types of bets as their ‘tips’ – double bets, recommended bets and extreme bets. Each one of these has tips to formulate your bookie bashing coupon.
We followed the sites predictions and put their recommended bets into a 6 team accumulator. Bayern Munich, Schalke, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Lille and St Etienne made the list*, with four games being played on the Saturday and 2 on the Sunday. As the games were split across Europe we had to wait until 9.45pm for the final result to come in. Thanks to my new favourite team St Etienne who won 2-0, Betegy had predicted a nice 6 team accumulator and a tidy profit for Average Joes.
Buoyed by the success of the recommended bet, we followed it again a week later this time it didn’t provide us with a winner but it did come mighty close with 5 out of 6 correct results and only a sloppy performance from Inter Milan (who drew 2-2) denying us another win.
It’s early days for this new site but the early signs are encouraging. With score predictions for 49 games across 5 leagues every week there is a lot of data and info in your face. But, narrow this down to their recommended bets and the currently claimed 73% strike rate, which by anyone’s money, isn’t too bad.
Also keep an eye on their blog section for free football betting tips, where they will post tips and predictions for mid-week games such as champions league and internationals. The friendly last week saw them predict a correct score double!!
Further tests are needed but we can’t help but wonder if this site will break the mould. Now, this information doesn’t come cheap (I am afraid!) and it will set you back a monthly cost of €29.99 which may put some people off. Check out the Betegy website and let us know what you think – www.betegy.com.
During the test I placed my own separate seven team accumulator – I got one out of seven correct. My tips are available for £14.99 per month – top value I’d say!
*games were played over the weekend of 10 – 11 November 2012
