LVL Wearable Hydration Monitor
With water making up on average 60% of the adult human body, it’s fairly obvious that keeping hydrated is an important business. This is no more evident than in exercise where even a 1% loss can make all the difference. But unless you’re an elite athlete with top of the range gear, keeping track of your hydration has to be done intuitively. That is, until now. Say hello to the LVL wearable hydration monitor.
LVL is a wearable monitor that gives you a complete picture of your health by tracking your activity, sleep, heart rate, mood and hydration levels. The LVL is worn on your wrist and via an accompanying app on your smartphone, it gives all the info you’ll need to get through the day.
The LVL itself comes with a rich full colour OLED touch screen and a simple, clear interface to provide you with all the essential information at a glance. As well as connecting to your phone, it also has the capacity to connect to any sports watch, bike computer and other sporting devices you might have.
While you could use the LVL for everyday living, much like most wearables these days – during exercise is where it will really come into its own. LVL simultaneously tracks your hydration, heart rate, and activity to help you optimise every workout and race. It then prompts you in real-time, alerting to exactly how much fluid you need (based on current levels and sweat rates) and what type of performance boost you can expect.
For example, you might get a pre-workout message from your LVL saying something like, ‘Drink 19oz before today’s workout for a 4-5% performance boost!’ During exercise, you could get something like, ‘Drink 31oz at this sweat rate to maintain optimal levels.’
Coming in three strap styles – Silicone, Brown Leather, or Black Leather – the LVL wearable hydration monitor is available to pre-order now over at the LVL Kickstarter Website where it’s being funded. Costing around £90 ($119), deliveries are expected in July next year.
