Nike FC Air Footscape Magista
In preparation for this summer’s European Championships, Nike’s football branch have decided to re-imagine some of their most successful boots to date into some street-ready footwear. And the first silhouette from the collection they’re releasing is the Air Footscape Magista.
The studless collection by Nike features four boot-inspired models; the Free Mercurial Superfly, the Air Footscape Magista, Free the HyperVenom 2, and the Tiempo Vetta. Three of the four trainers feature predominately Black uppers, while the first pair of Air Footscape Magistas see a Blue colourway with a Black subtle overlay.
Each model in the Nike FC collection fuses style and comfort for casual wearing, and this is perfectly illustrated with the Air Footscape Magenta – a trainer which that takes elements from the 1995 Air Footscape and 2014’s revolutionary Magista football boot.
The upper of the new Magista is donned predominantly in Nike’s revolutionary Flyknit technology, only with a slightly rawer knit-pattern than the on-field itineration. The first thing you’ll notice about these trainers, however, is the signature ankle collar which made the original Magista a talking point when it arrived on the scene during the World Cup in 2014.
The midsole on the Magista borrows its shape from the original Air Footscape Motion and the ‘Motion’ element of the name refers to the ridged grooves you’ll see running along the forefoot, which have been added to enhance movement and improve comfort.
The Magista has contrast added by the White gum sole, and the rear of the shoe is finished with premium nubuck panels, Red chevron detailing on the pull tabs and, of course, embossed swoosh branding.
The Nike Footscape Magista will be available from various websites today (Thursday 21st April 2016) for £165, including the Nike Website.
