The premiership is back after a successful week of internationals (if your English that is) but it has come at a cost with a few key players carrying niggling injuries which could rule them out of this weekends festivities.
Villa and Chelsea kick off this weekends games with the early Saturday kick off. Chelsea come into this in great form and have a virtually fully fit squad to choose from. Joe Cole is continuing his come back from injury and could feature along with Ballack who returns from a calf strain. Villa have hit a bit of form of late but are still unpredictable. We can see this one going Chelsea’s way by a couple of goals.
The 3 o’clock kick offs could prove interesting with some tasty clashes. Arry Redknapp takes his inform Spurs back to his old club Pompey. With 3 of the most inform strikers at the moment including the… prolific…. Peter Crouch, along with Robbie Keane and Jermaine Defoe. This could be shooting practice for these guys after Pompeys start to the season. Although pompey are unbeaten in….1 game.
Man Ushould dispose of Bolton as long as Rooney is fit and Rio and Foster don’t decide to piss around with there defending duties. Arsenal, again, should breeze past Birmingham scoring plenty along the way. An inform Fabregas will provide a host of chances for the front 2 and midfield 4 and Vermaelen powering forward supporting the front 2 from err defence!
Liverpool are sweating on the fitness of there 2 megastars Fernando and Steven. Both are carrying niggling injuries which could keep them out which would give Sunderland a massive chance of grabbing a win. Steve Bruce has got his team playing well and Bent and Jones are grabbing plenty of goals. A leaky Liverpool defence and the possibility of no attack could make this a difficult game for the scousers.
Everton are firing on all cylinders at the moment and should get past Wolves with a comfortable win. Osman and Saha are in great form at the moment and could grab a goal a piece.
Stoke and West Ham are next up, and both have strikers capable of getting goals so this could be a lively encounter ending with a draw.
Sunday sees a fiery north-west derby between Blackburn and Burnley. Burnleys away form dictates that this is a nailed on home win. We agree with this but feel it will be a lot closer on the day. Man City travel down the road to Wigan. Not an easy one this one for Mark Hughes men, but with there inform strikers and the ability to win away from Eastlands this season they should pick up 3 points here.
And to wrap up the weekends games Fulham host Hull. Fulham need to get there home form back on track losing 2 out of 3 so far but in all fairness those defeats have come against Chelsea and Arsenal. We fancy a Fulham home win here.
