Six Nations Week 4 Preview
We come to the penultimate weekend of Six Nations rugby. With the English having the only 100% record so far it’s up to them to continue their push toward the grand slam. The welsh and the scots are the only sides able to catch the red rose and they face each other today.
Owen Farrell nearly nailed down a starting berth with another top display last time around. Alex Cuthbert is staking a claim to a wing berth and my top pick Tom Youngs showed why he should have started last time over Dylan Hartley with a bulldozing 30 mins on the park! Onto this weekend!
Scotland vs Wales this in my opinion is the second place game. The welsh are coming back to form and with George North, Alex Cuthbert and Leigh Halfpenny running sides ragged I think they will score a fair few tries this afternoon.
Prediction – Wales by 10
Ireland vs France two beleaguered sides go head to head to salvage what has been a below par tournament for both sides, Ireland seem lost without the direction of Jonathan Sexton and a returning Brian O’Driscoll hasn’t been able to turn the tide. The French just seem lost. However having Wesley Fofana restored at Inside Centre seemed to spark a little life into Les Bleus. And I think they will leave Dublin with the spoils.
Prediction – France by 4
England vs Italy
England have made 5 changes to their starting line up and have brought in Tom Croft and Freddie Burns to the bench. The Azzuri cannot be taken lightly though and a returning Sergio Parisse will want to make his point known. Toby Flood has the chance to stake his claim to the fly half jersey as Owen Farrell misses out due to injury. I can see a landslide victory to England to set up a mouthwatering tie in Cardiff next week
Prediction – England by 15
